I read four books about beavers, <Little Beaver and The Echo>, <Houghton Mifflin - A Busy Beaver>, <bank street ready to read - Level 2 - beavers beware> and <Scott Foresman - Leveled Readers Grade 2 - Busy Beavers>.
I know something more about beavers now.
Beavers have strong, sharp, orange teeth. They can cut down trees, cut off branches and bark. They like build a dam with the trees, branches and mud on a stream. The dam can stop the water and make a pond. Their home, call lodge, is built in the pond, sticks out above the water with a door under the water. Their Babys, called kits, are born safe and dry inside the lodge.
But I wander where beavers live and when they eat, when they work or sleep.
In the book <beavers beware> P11, it says that, "By day they sleep under our dock. At dusk they eat the water plants. At night they cut down our trees."
Well, does beaver sleep during the day and eat at dusk, work in the night? It is an animal like bat, isn't it?
But why in the movie, <Franklin - Favorite Turtle Tales> and <White Tuft, the Little Beaver>, the beaver all plays in the day and sleep in the evening?
And I am asking where beavers live. I mean where, a place such as China, English, ect. I know beaves live in their lodge but I don't konw where the lodge is.
Mum tells me beavers are nocturnal animal, they work after sunset. Mum also tells me there are beavers live in China. They are in the north of Xinjiang.
Mum gives me some webside to study about beaver:
