Little Beaver didn't have any brothers or sisters or even friends. he was very lonely. One day, sitting by the side of the pond, he began to cry out loud.

Suddenly Little Beaver heard someone cried too on the other side of the pond. Little Beaver began talk to him. No matter what Little Beaver said, the voice from across the pond said the same. Little Beaver believe someone on the other side of the pond was lonely too. So he set off in the boat to find the voice.

On his way to the other side of the pond, Little Beaver ran into a young duck, a young otter and a young turtle. Little Beaver make friends with them.

When they reached the other side of the pond, they meat a wise old beaver. The wise old beaver told them the voice was echo.

I think beavers must be kindly friends. White Tuft has a little lynx being friend. Little Beaver has four friends too.
