Louie was a little dumb swan. He had two sisters. When he was born, his father hardly gave him a name just because he couldn't talk.
I don't think Louie was happy. No other little swan like to play with him even his sisters. But Louie was brave. When he saw a fox was going to catch his sisters and he couldn't yell out to warn them, he run to them, he wanted to help them. fortunately, a boy saved all the three little swans. Liouie made friends with the boy.
Since Louie was dumb, he didn't believe he could fly. When his father taught them how to fly, he even dare not to try. His father encouraged him. Louie finally managed to fly.
I did it for my son!
It's said by Louie's father. Louie's father wanted to find a voice for his son. He flied into city and found a musical instrument store. He had no hands to knock the door and no money to buy a trumpet. He threw himself toward a window and broke it. When the shopkeeper drove him away by throwing him a trumpet, he managed to got it and flied away. The shopkeeper called him a thief. He yelled back, "I did it for my son!"
But before Louie's father could tell Louie about the trumpet, Louie decided to study writing and reading. Louie flied away. He went into the city, looking for his friend, the boy who once save his sisters.
I have nothing could say about that. I can talk but I am not really talk. Everyday, I study hard. I just study writing and reading. Mum, father and my tutor taught me.
Do you know what I mean? Do you know what I want? I can't tell you clearly.
It's a very sad story. Louie was tracing me. He didn't know writing and reading wouldn't help.
When I can write, I hang a pen on my neck. I take paper in my pocket. But no one would like stopping to read my paper. They are bored with me. Now I can write very long, but what's up? who would like read it? I am alone, all the other kids hate me. The more praise I get from the adult, the more hate I get from the kids around. "If he can do it, so can you!" mom and father always encourage me. I want to do everything the other kids do. But they hate to do what I can do. Every time, every one, if they were told "even he can do it", they would come for me... I hate the kids, I hate their parents.
The boy took Louie into school. He persuaded his miss take Louie in. Winter passed and spring came. Louie learned so hard that he now could read and write.
Louie hung a blackboard on neck, took a chalk with him. He waved goodbye to the boy and his miss, class, flied up into the sky, headed for home. I know Louie must be excited, he thought he finally could talk.
But when Louie reached home, when Louie wrote 'hi, there' on the blackboard for everyone, none of the other swan could read. No one understand Louid. Louie cried...
I know Louie would cry, I know it. I cried too. We, Louie and me, are just fools.
Louie's father came on. He told Louie about the trumpet. He said the trumpet could be Louie's new voice. Louie began to study play the trumpet. At first it's hard, the sound like broke wind. At last Louie played well.
One evening, Louie's father had a nightmare about chasing by the shopkeeper. He was so mad that he told Louie's mother he stold the trumpet. Louie happened to hear that. He wanted to get his father's honor. Louie flied away again.
Louie found the boy in a camp. Louie did many good thing in the camp. He save a boy in the river and got a medal. Louie became a hero. Everyone like him.
The camp end, Louie earn some money. But it is not enough to paying back for the trumpet. Louie flied to a big city. In the big city, Louie did many adventure and earn much money.
In the end, Louie married a beautiful swan girl. He gave the money to his father. They went to the musical instrument store together, they pay back for the trumpet and took back Louie's father's honor.
It's just a story. It's not true. I know it's not true. Nothing in it could happen. People never let go your disability just because of a tiny talent for something.
So many kids enjoy this story. They can talk, they know nothing about Louie's puzzle. They are blind because the good ending. But it is false.
